Rayan Aït-Nouri is not the only piston/left back who interests Rúben Amorim and Manchester United. Indeed, according to information from the British media Daily Mailthe Red Devils would also target Nuno Mendes. The young 22-year-old Portuguese has been playing for Paris Saint-Germain since 2021 and is considered, except when he is injured – which has often happened to him in recent years – as an indisputable player in the Parisian squad.
However, since the arrival of Luis Enrique, many observers believe that Nuno Mendes is being used for the wrong purpose. His offensive qualities are less used since the Spanish technician gives more freedom to the right side, Achraf Hakimi. He is then often called upon to play as a third central defender.
At Manchester United, Mendes would find Rúben Amorim, whom he knows well, since he played under him during the 2020/2021 season. The Portuguese coach gave his compatriot the opportunity to move up to the first team, who then took full advantage of it, to the point of landing at PSG the following season.
