20 years of professional career for Mariano

It was the year 2004. On November 20, the young right-back
Marianoat the age of 18, entered the field for the first time wearing the Guarani jersey and fulfilled his dream of becoming a professional football player.

Since then, two decades have passed and Mariano has entered the field 798 more times. The former Girondins de Bordeaux player has since scored 19 goals and distributed more than 70 assists.

“When I look back and see everything I've been through, sometimes it's hard to believe, seeing how far I could go. A childhood that wasn't the easiest, but I didn't lack food on my plate either, a big family, lots of brothers, my parents trying to make a living and a livelihood so we could have a decent life. And I managed to become a professional player, travel the world playing football, get called up to the national team, win titles and make history. God has honored me very much, I am very grateful to him, my wife, my family and my close friends, everyone who has always been and is with me. It hasn't been an easy journey, but I'm very proud of the career I've built and continued to build over these twenty years.”
