“We were locked in the locker room for an hour and a half”
Here are the words of Gernot Rohr: “First there was bottle throwing and one of my assistants was chased by colleagues who wanted to hit him in the tunnel. We were locked in the locker room for an hour and a half. And when we came out of it, there were some very, very regrettable events, which we should not see in football.“
“Even the police hit us when they entered the bus”
He continues: “We saw that this country was not yet safe, because even the police beat us when they entered the bus. We thought it was to keep us safe, but they took out their batons to hit us. We have a few injured, some boys were targeted, like my assistant of Tunisian origin, who has a large hematoma on his shoulder. Our security department was affected as were a few players. It’s really unfortunate.”
