Warmed Omari with Comoros
Of the five African internationals that OL have, four will participate in the CAN between December 2025 and January 2026.
The qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations are not yet over. There are still a few matches left, and therefore tickets to buy for Morocco, where the CAN will be held. Ernest Nuamah (Ghana) and Warmed Omari (Comoros) will play this Monday for example, Moussa No matter what (Senegal) is expected on Tuesday. But for the five Lyonnais concerned, their fate is already sealed even before the last posters.
We already know that Omari, Clinton Eye (Angola), absent during this November truce, Niakhaté and Saïd Benrahma (Algeria) will participate in the continental competition. The four footballers and their respective selection have obtained their ticket for the tournament which will take place from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
Nuamah alone eliminated
Finally, the only member of OL who failed to qualify was Ernest Nuamah. Ghanaians have completely overcome this campaign. After five meetings, the Black Stars have still not won and have only three points. Their elimination is recorded even before the poster at home against Niger.
