Bordeaux and Andy Carroll, bad news

The Girondins de have moved up to fifth place in the National 2 standings, and are eight points behind the leader, Saint-Malo, with a game in hand. But the scapular club learned a bad thing about its star striker.

Relegated to N2, Bordeaux wants to do everything to move up to National next season, but for that it is imperative to finish first in group B. At this stage of the season, Gérard Lopez's club is eight points behind the first, Saint -Malo, and still has a match late following the events at the start of the season. Next Saturday, Bruno Irles' team travels to the Saint-Malo city and could come back to within five lengths of the leader. However, in view of this trip to , the Girondins de Bordeaux will have to do without their number one asset, Andy Carroll.

Indeed, the English striker was suspended after taking three warnings in less than ten matches with his new club, and he was therefore logically punished for Bordeaux's next match in National 2, namely the summit clash in Saint- Malo. Author of five goals, and often decisive since he joined Bordeaux, Andy Carroll will not make the trip for this very important meeting for the two clubs. Bruno Irles will therefore have to find a solution to forget the absence of the man who largely contributed to the Girondins' return to the top this season.
