Targeted for many months by Real Madrid who wish to strengthen their defensive sector, Alphonso Davies has already reached an agreement with the Spanish club for a transfer next summer. The Canadian, who has played for Bayern since 2019, reaches the end of his contract in June 2025.

The next summer transfer window is still far away but Real Madrid are already reportedly holding a big recruit. According to the Madrid daily Marca, the club has reached an agreement, for the moment without signing, with Canadian defender Alphonso Davies. The 24-year-old is expected to sign a pre-contract on January 2, 2025 in order to materialize their discussions in writing, before arriving free a few months later, in June. A strategy already used by Real for Kylian Mbappé and Rüdiger, among others.

The Canadian international has been on the Merengues' books for many months. As early as June 2023, Marca announced that the Madrid club was inquiring with Bayern Munich for a possible transfer. Then in February, The Athletic revealed that Real and the Canadian had found common ground, without this succeeding during the last summer transfer window.

Several titles with Bayern

If Barcelona and Manchester United have also approached the player's entourage, it is of course the Spanish capital that the latter would have set his sights on. Bavarian since 2019, Alphonso Davies will reach the end of his contract in June 2025. According to Bild, the club which wishes to extend him offered him a final offer a few weeks ago, without success.

Arriving in Germany from Vancouver, the player spoke about his loneliness in Munich. Which did not prevent him from winning five German championship titles, a Champions League and a Club World Cup under the Bavarian colors.
