Ambre Godillon, journalist from DAZN, was the victim of a projectile throw last Friday at the Vélodrome during Marseille-Auxerre. In response, the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League decided to open an investigation.
The disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League has opened an investigation after the throwing of a projectile which targeted DAZN journalist Ambre Godillon during the Ligue 1 match OM-Auxerre at the Vélodrome stadium, on November 8, announced this Wednesday the LFP.
Decision expected on November 27
“In view of the incident that occurred during the Marseille Olympics – AJ Auxerre match, the LFP Disciplinary Commission decides to put the case under investigation,” indicated the League, which then clarified to AFP that the investigation focused on the projectile received by the DAZN journalist. The disciplinary committee will make its decision on November 27, 2024, added the body.
Shortly before half-time of the OM-Auxerre match, lost by Marseille (3-1), Ambre Godillon was the victim of a projectile which hit her under the eye. The Vélodrome speaker asked the public to stop throwing objects. OM apologized to the journalist as well as to DAZN.
“DAZN strongly condemns this intolerable and unworthy act,” the channel then reacted, requested by AFP, specifying that it “will take all necessary measures, in particular legal measures, to guarantee the safety of its teams.
