In the last 24 hours it has been reported that Barcelona have finally reached an agreement with Nike on a new sponsorship deal.
The deal was several months in the making and on Saturday it was made official.
In an official statement, Barcelona confirmed that they have launched a “new start” with Nike, with whom they have entered into a “multi-year partnership agreement” which will take effect from this season.

“FC Barcelona and Nike, two leading brands in the sports industry, are pleased to announce a new beginning with a multi-year partnership agreement, which will come into effect this season, and which brings a new model of collaborative strategic partnership between both organizations.
“This new partnership solidifies Nike as the primary club partner and official technical partner of all professional and amateur teams, bringing a unique model that strengthens brand association and fuels global growth in retail and licensing activities . Nike plays a key strategic role in the club's retail operations and, together with Barça Licensing & Merchandising, will join forces in the development of specific plans related to product creation, supply chain and global distribution . »
Barcelona and Nike have been in partnership since 1998, and their bond will now continue for many years to come.
