The defender and captain of FC Metz wanted to come to Forez and the Saint-Etienne club did everything possible to ensure that the file was successful. But the two parties came up against a third… FC Metz. The Metz leaders stood in the way and held on until the end. Matthieu Udol remained in Moselle and continues to be the pillar of the project.

As the winter transfer window approaches, where is the Matthieu Udol track on the ASSE side? The player still interests Olivier Dall'Oglio, at the origin of this file. Udol's experience, as well as his versatility, are elements that are currently lacking in the Forezian squad.
