Arriving at the end of the transfer window thanks to the intervention of boss John Textor, Wilfried Zaha is going through a complicated period. Little used by coach Pierre Sage, the 32-year-old Ivorian striker is struggling to establish himself. As the Team recalls, in two months, Zaha has only accumulated around a hundred minutes of play, with only one disappointing start against Toulouse and an assist against Olympiakos in the Europa League.
Zaha's salary costs OL almost nothing
His difficult integration is explained in particular by an attitude considered casual, marked by absences from training and a lack of involvement. These behaviors earned him sanctions and exclusion from several match groups, such as against Nantes or Le Havre. Despite discussions with Pierre Sage to redefine expectations, Zaha remains behind. The competition is tough: players like Malick Fofana, Rayan Cherki, Saïd Benrahma and Georges Mikautadze are now preferred. Even though Textor paid 3 million euros for his loan, Zaha's low impact does not weigh heavily financially, with Galatasaray covering the majority of his salary. As a result, his time in Lyon could end quickly, without leaving any real imprint. There is no doubt that the issue could come up as early as the winter transfer window if the situation does not change.

To summarize
Wilfried Zaha, who surprisingly arrived at OL at the end of the transfer window, did not impose himself at all with Les Gones. To the point that a departure is already mentioned. Indeed, the Ivorian international winger cannot convince at all.
