Handi Tolosa, an association which brings together TFC supporters with disabilities, had decided to put on sale humorous t-shirts bearing the image of Gilbert Montagné. The latter requested its immediate withdrawal from sale.
TFC supporters will have to fall back on the “Sitting. Always” t-shirt, in reference to the slogan “Standing. Always” of the Haut-Garonne club. The Handi Tolosa association, which brings together supporters with disabilities, announced this Thursday that it was obliged to withdraw from sale its “It’s who scored” t-shirt bearing the image of Gilbert Montagné.
“A constructive exchange with the artist”
This series of t-shirts was designed to finance the actions and life of the association. But the singer of the hit “On va s'aimer” did not want his image to be used. “This decision follows a constructive exchange with the artist and singer Gilbert Montagné. In order to respect the image of Mr. Montagné, Handi Tolosa took into consideration Mr. Montagné's concerns regarding the impact of this t-shirt,” explains Handi Tolosa in a press release.
“We thank Gilbert Montagné for taking the time to discuss directly with us, on subjects and commitments that are mutually important to us,” concludes the supporters’ association, which specifies that Gilbert Montagné “will still always be the welcome to the Stadium.”
