Stade Rennais is looking for a new coach after the announced departure of Julien Stephan. After Rudi Garcia, two former OM players are cited to replace him!
According to information from L'Equipe, The Stade Rennais checked new names to replace Julien Stéphan ! The Bretons would like to place their trust in Habib Bey after his departure from Red Star or even to Jorge Sampaoli, without a club. The Argentine coach could therefore return to Ligue 1 after his experience at loon and his return to Seville.

Rudi Garciacurrently without a contract, is one of the main candidates to replace Julien Stéphan. The former Napoli coach knows the sporting director well Frederic Massarawith whom he worked at AS Roma. In parallel, Igor Tudor is also on the list of potential coaches, although his interest in the position appears limited unless he can convince management. Other options, like Patrick Vieira et Niko Kovacwho has already managed Monaco, are also circulating among the discussions within the Rennes club.

I have the energy to continue fighting and turn this team around
Julien Stéphan spoke after the heavy defeat at Auxerre (0-4): “Tonight (Sunday), it's a disaster, a feeling of shame towards our leaders and our supporters, until the end of the meeting. We didn't see anything from us in the first half, no risk-taking and no intensity in the duels. We had identified what awaited us. I made three changes at the start of the second half. We could have done more if the regulations had allowed it. Afterwards, at 3-0, the match changed and the result became logical. There was a very big gap between our work this week and what we saw this evening. Our performance was very insufficient. I have the energy to continue fighting and turn this team around. We have to be realistic about what we have produced. This is worthy of a team at the bottom of the table, not the top of the table. We really didn't do the right thing. It's a very big disappointment. I hope that my team will be able to progress mentally and aggressively, it is essential. »
