Luis Enrique sees further than Wednesday's match against Atlético Madrid. The PSG coach assures that qualification is still possible even in the event of a bad result against the Madrilenians.

Saint-Germain approaches the fourth day of the Champions League with a certain optimism. According to statements from Parisian coach Luis Enrique, the next clash against Atlético Madrid, scheduled for Wednesday, will not mark the end of hopes in the event of an unfavorable result. At a press conference this Tuesday, the Asturian was however very clear about PSG's ambitions: to achieve a second success in the European Cup.

When they entered the competition against Girona, the Parisian club won the match 1-0, but then suffered a defeat against Arsenal (0-2) and shared the points with PSV Eindhoven (1-1). After three matches in this League phase, the French champion has accumulated 4 points out of 9 possible, provisionally ranking in 19th position in the ranking, synonymous with the play-offs.

Luis Enrique puts things into perspective

“If one of the teams loses tomorrow but wins the next four matches, they will qualify in the 24 (Atletico has 3 points, editor's note). No, it's not a decisive match. That it is important and that we want to win, on the other hand, there is no doubt”clarified Lucho.

“The feeling is almost the same as for the other days of the Champions League: optimism, confidence and the very clear objective of taking the three points. (…) For tomorrow’s match, everyone is ready”added the former Barça coach.
