Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made a colossal €95 million offer for a renowned Premier League defender.
During the last transfer window, the Paris Saint-Germain was less spending than usual. Despite the recruitments of Joan Neves and Désiré Doué, no big names added to the Paris team. A recruitment which left many specialists hungry, especially since a replacement for Kylian Mbappé was expected. The former PSG star left the club for free to join Real Madrid.
With the current season of the Parisian club, a new star is always awaited. PSG continues to target important players to strengthen its team. According to Fichajes, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made an offer of 95 million euros to sign Arsenal central defender William Saliba. The French defender is currently a star in the Premier League and is considered one of the best in his position.
Wiliam Saliba, soon a future Parisian?
Upon his return from numerous loans in Ligue 1, William Saliba has established himself in central defense at Arsenal. Thanks to him, the Gunners have once again become serious contenders in the title race. During the 2022/2023 season, his injury took its toll, condemning Arsenal in their title fight against Manchester City. He has definitely registered himself among the best defenders in the English championshipor even the world.
With 13 matches already played this season, he is one of the most used players by Mikel Arteta. This offer from PSG could be considered bold, as the Gunners do not consider William Saliba as a player likely to leave the club. Although a €90m bid for a defender may seem substantial, given the player's importance to Arsenal, it could be judged far too insufficient. If Arsenal's French defender does not join PSG, the Parisian club would have set its sights on another Frenchman playing in La Liga.
