Traveling in France, Juventus Turin relied on Képhren Thuram to introduce the duel against LOSC in the Champions League. The former Nice resident mentions Lucas Chevalier in particular.
When Europe knocks on LOSC's door and prestigious opponents arrive at the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre Mauroy, the choice is often quickly made when it is necessary to designate an individual to represent an entire group in a conference of press. Just take an item that speaks French. This decision was nevertheless not so easy for Juventus Turin, who were spoiled for choice with Képhren Thuram (former OGC Nice player and French international) and Timothy Weah, former player of the Lille team. It was the first named who was privileged and he first showed ambition:
“We prepared for the match, as we do every time. That is to say by respecting the adversary. They are confident in the Champions League with two very good recent performances. We are aware of this, and that is also why we respect them enormously. Tomorrow, we will go on the pitch to give our all and win this match”he asserted in front of the international press.
Khéphren Thuram then spoke a little more about LOSC:
“It’s a good team, a playful team, with impactful players in all areas of the pitch. We know they have a good coach so they will have a good game plan, but we are prepared for that and we will be ready tomorrow. This is the most importanthe insisted, moving on to the differences or similarities between Paulo Fonseca and Bruno Genesio: “I think it’s pretty much the same style of coaches. These are two coaches who want to have the ball who encourage their players to be free on the pitch and to move forward. We were a little surprised because they beat two big European teams, but we know that Lille has very good elements. They have players who like to hit and who have great self-confidence. They do very beautiful things”repeated the midfielder.
The challenge launched by Lucas Chevalier
The French international concluded his press conference with a lighter theme. The upcoming confrontation, between Dogues and Bianconeri, is also the opportunity for a reunion for Képhren Thuram, Lucas Chevalier and Bafodé Diakité. The three men played together with the France Espoirs team a few years ago and are ready to recall good memories, in particular the Lille goalkeeper, who challenged his compatriot: “I didn't talk with Bafo', but with Lucas. He told me he was waiting for me at the stadium,
he replied with a big, very big smile. I simply replied see you soon”declared the former Nice resident without his smile fading. This simple expression “see you soon” already says enough. Lucas Chevalier and Képhren Thuram have arranged to meet and will await each other with a knife between their teeth this Tuesday at 9 p.m. in the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre Mauroy.
