Despite its penultimate place in the standings, the Alsatian team is an opponent who inspires caution in the Saint-Etienne coach and against whom he hopes to see his Vertes sign a positive result, this Saturday at Meinau (9 p.m.).
Preparation before Strasbourg
With the staff, we felt the need to emphasize video work during the break on what went wrong with our last performances. For this match, we prepared as much as we could in the absence of our four internationals. We had the return of Amandine Pierre-Louis, Cindy Caputo and Morgane Belkhiter yesterday Friday, only, for our last session just before leaving for Strasbourg. We adapt but it is not easy to recover Amandine who played 3 full matches with Haiti in 10 days or Morgane who played two full matches for Algeria. For Cindy, the French team staff tried to find a balance in terms of playing time. It makes our work easier.
Strasbourg, promoted without complexes
Despite its current ranking, Strasbourg is an interesting team. It is a difficult formation to maneuver which plays with 5 defenders at the back and uses the flanks well. His game project is interesting. In its last match, Racing lost against Guingamp but it was a defeat conceded on a penalty whistled in added time.
The latest confrontations
I don't forget that, against Strasbourg, we are left with a defeat in preparation this summer and an elimination in the Coupe de France last season. I am really wary of this compact team which plays well together thanks to very homogeneous lines.
