Three residents are in the race to win the Midi Olympique Oscar for best European player. But against all expectations, Antoine Dupont is not one of the nominees.

Stade Toulousain achieved the Top 14 – Champions Cup double last season. Two historic triumphs because the Pink City club, having the record of victories in each of these competitions (23 in the league, 6 in the European Cup), increased its lead in the rankings. The conquest of the sixth European star, the Rouge et Noir won it against Leinster (22-31, ap) whose campaign was marked among others by the high-flying performances of Dan Sheehan and Jamison Gibson-Park.

In the Hope category, another Toulouse resident is in the race. Holder notably during the Champions Cup final in the center and retained this fall by Fabien Galthié in order to take part in the tour of the XV of , Paul Costes appears as a very serious contender. However, he will have competition with the presence of another promising three-quarter center: Nicolas Depoortère of the UBB. Posolo Tuilagi of the Usap, Baptiste Jauneau of Clermont as well as Théo Attissogbé of the Paloise Section are the other candidates.
