Mercato: Dropped by Luis Enrique, he wants to leave PSG!

Arriving free in July 2023, Milan Skriniar was considered an excellent recruit for Saint-Germain. That was without counting on Luis Enrique, who gradually took him out of his starting lineup and would now consider him a fourth choice in central defense behind Marquinhos, Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho.

The winter transfer window will only open its doors in several months, but a path is already starting to become clearer on the Paris side. Very little used by Luis Enrique since the start of the season, Milan Skriniar is clearly being pushed towards the exit and the Italian press has notably spoken of a possible return to Serie A.

Skriniar is convinced

For the moment there is nothing concrete between the two clubs, but the main party concerned has already made an important decision. According to information from La Gazzetta dello Sportthe 29-year-old central defender would have understood very well that he has no future in PSGin any case as long as Luis Enrique is the trainer. The January window would therefore be for Skriniar a solution to relaunch a stalled career.

PSG will have to make an effort

However, there is a major obstacle to the departure of Milan Skriniar and that is his salary. He actually earns €10M net per year, the 3rd highest salary in the world. PSG behind Marquinhos et Ousmane Dembélé. Very few clubs can therefore afford it and the simplest solution would therefore be a loan, with the Parisian club agreeing to cover a significant part of his salary.
