According to information from The Teambusinessman Bruno Fievet is indeed keenly interested in a takeover of the Girondins de Bordeaux. The entrepreneur specializing in the management of large fortunes also wants to get his hands on Matmut Atlantique. Note that Bruno Fievet was already a candidate for a takeover of FCGB in 2021, but King Street preferred at the time to sell the club to Gérard Lopez. Asked by The TeamFievet said more about his takeover project: “ We need to change the current economic model. This involves creating value, and the stadium is precisely an asset that can represent value for the club. Today, the town hall is rather receptive, the Metropolis a little more reserved. There are a lot of legal constraints, the desire not to offend current partners such as SBA and the Girondins, and also the fear of being singled out if the Girondins were to be placed in liquidation. This is why she is doing everything to accommodate the current owner by not making him pay rent.”
To carry out his new adventure, the businessman is supported by a local investor specializing in real estate and an investor from the Gulf. For the moment, no offer has been made officially to the Commercial Court, nor to the current owner Gérard Lopez. The priority would currently be to concentrate on a purchase… of the stadium for more than 100 million euros: “The stadium is worth them even though the club has €118 million in debt and it is worth nothing today. The only way to give it value is to associate it with an asset that has it. This is the case with the stadium,” Bruno Fievet justified himself in particular.
