Carvajal is beginning a very long recovery process following his serious knee injury which occurred on October 5 against Villarreal.
The Real Madrid right-back suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament, a torn external collateral ligament and a ruptured tendon in his right leg during a clash with Yeremi Pino two years ago weeks at the Bernabeu, during the last match of the championship against Villarreal.
The Madrid full-back, who will be absent for at least a year, has begun his long and tedious rehabilitation process. A few days after having surgery, Dani Carvajal sent his first message on social networks.
“One week less”
“A week has passed since the operation, with painful moments, long nights and difficult feelings to deal with. But at the same time, I felt very strong and loved by everyone around me, which makes this process more enjoyable,” the Real Madrid player wrote on Instagram, where he posted several images of himself and his family.
The Spanish defender, who was extended by his club for an additional season, is aiming to return to the field for the start of the 2025-2026 season. He will then be 33 years old.
