Building on a partnership with the Loire Committee of the League Against Cancer concluded in 2011, AS Saint-Étienne has been continuing to raise awareness about breast cancer since the beginning of October. After broadcasting videos on key figures on the giant screens of the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium as well as a self-examination tutorial for fans during the match against Auxerre, this Saturday’s matches will also be an opportunity to bring even more high the message of the Pink October movement.
A special jersey revealed with hummel
By unveiling a special outfit on which the details as well as the usually white club partners will be pink for the occasion, the club intends to reach as many people as possible. The mobilization of female players, who are the first to be affected by awareness-raising, and of players, invited to carry the message to the women they love, is essential! These event outfits are intended to raise awareness in order to remind people of the importance of self-examination and screening.
Take part in the Pink October movement
At the end of the matches, the jerseys worn by our players will be put up for auction by ASSE Cœur-Vert on boutiquedesverts.fr in order to raise funds for the Loire Committee of the League Against Cancer. At the Boutique des Verts and online, supporters will also be able to participate in this outpouring of solidarity by purchasing this green and pink jersey, as well as the black and pink goalkeeper jersey from this Saturday, October 19, 10 a.m. at the price of 84 .95€. For each jersey sold, five euros will be donated to the Loire Cancer League, which works for research and support for patients.
