Orléans – VAFC: Poha absent, Camara not reassuring

Exceeded in all areas, the VAFC did not have an illusion for long against a vastly superior Orléans team (4-1), this Wednesday evening. From 2 to 5, discover our ratings after this replay match from the 2nd day of National.

La satisfaction :

Difficult to bring out a name from this shipwreck, but Carnejy Antoine (5) did what he could. For his first start of the season, the Haitian struggled on the attacking front to try to make the most of the rare balls he had to get his hands on. A constant threat in depth, he materialized the only Valencian opportunity by hooking the opposing goalkeeper well before continuing in two stages to immediately equalize and leave VA in the match (1-1, 29′). In short, a courageous performance on an individual level.

Disappointments:

VAFC’s best defender since the start of the season, Jordan Burst (2) was unrecognizable on the Orléans lawn. No doubt disturbed by the (punctual?) transition to a four-man defense, the 21-year-old defender appeared without reference and replaced his serenity and his authority with more than questionable choices and a nameless excitement. Slightly at fault on the second goal, where he is behind El Khoumisti and is too easily done by his hook (2-1, 32′), he concedes the break penalty by being totally late and dangerous in his intervention after having missed his control (3-1, 58′). He could have increased the score if Papa Camara had not made up for his big mistake with the ball (45′), symbol of his evening limits in all areas.

Replacing Jean Louchet with a knee injury, Papa Camara (3) does not have the same performance as the usual number one of the VAFC. Certainly, he made two good saves to delay the inevitable (12′, 45′), but he pushed the ball back into the dangerous zone on the first goal (1-0, 27′) before, above all, finding himself on the second (2-1, 32′) – perhaps not helped by the rainy conditions, it is true. Less serene than his competitor at the post in all areas of the game, and particularly in his exits far from his goal (75′), he despite himself makes Jean Louchet regret it.

Model of regularity since the start of the season, Take the opportunity (3) had a bad evening against Orléans. If he is not directly involved in the goals conceded, the transition from a piston role to that of a full-back has clearly harmed his performance. He was very self-effacing offensively, despite the quality of his center he could bring, and did not put up any crazy defensive resistance to his opponents. Often in a hurry, he completely misses his back pass towards Papa Camara and obstructs the goal to annihilate the scoring opportunity, receiving a very orange yellow card (69′).

Both started for the first time on the wings of the Valencian 4-2-3-1, Aymen Boutoutaou (3) et David Moke (3) should be put in the same bag as they both went through the encounter like lost souls. None weighed on the meeting, the first trying to exist in the construction of the game without ever succeeding, while the second made no difference on his side. Symptoms of the lack of offensive creativity in the evening, they did not take advantage of the opportunity created by the cascade of packages.

Match notes:

Camara (3), Buades (4), Burst (2), Woudenberg (4), Old Space (3) – Boissier (4), Moursou (3) – Boutoutaou (3), Flamarion (4), Thin (3) – Antoine (5)
