After the recent skirmishes between the
PSG and the Paris City Hall, the capital’s club continues its journey towards its emancipation with regard to its stadium. Indeed, discussions are continuing in Yvelines in this direction.
If the Île-de-France region has granted an envelope and the reservation of 50 hectares of land for the future stadium of the
Paris Saint-GermainParis City Hall hopes to obstruct this amendment through the courts. News that does not seem to disturb Jean-Michel Fourgouspresident (LR) of the agglomeration community of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines: “ This is what we call a political coup, a pressure coup. An above-ground and somewhat desperate maneuver. Frankly it doesn’t worry me anyway, I’m not sure that the PSG is very attentive to this“, confides the elected official to our colleagues from Le Parisien, who seems to have land ready to accommodate the capital’s club on the leisure base in the town of Montigny-le-Bretonneux. Regarding the noises around a “ PSG Land“, an 80,000-seat stadium capable of hosting concerts, cinemas, shops, restaurants and hotels, Jean-Michel Fourgos also confides: “ I can’t say too much because they may still be my future clients, but the meetings I have with them are still very structured and very serious. They want a product, a project, with greater attractiveness like what is currently being done and on this, the land reserve of the current stadium does not meet the specifications of the PSG. It’s very simple, they want one, if not the most beautiful stadium in the world.« .

As a reminder, still according to information from Le Parisien on this subject, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi would remain inflexible and stick to its position: the PSG will not stay at the Parc des Princes if he is not the owner. Opposite, the Paris City Hall would no longer be open to this option at all. Thus, the probability of seeing the Paris Saint-Germain leave the Princes Park
grows over time.
