If captain Kylian Mbappé was missing, having preferred to stay in Madrid during the truce, all the other players summoned by Didier Deschamps were present this Monday at Clairefontaine to begin the gathering of the French team which will face Israel ( October 10) and Belgium (October 14) in the League of Nations.
Fashion Week comes to Clairefontaine
And like at every Blues gathering, the arrival of the players was an opportunity to see several looks that were, to say the least… original. If Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembélé and Warren Zaire-Emery were relatively sober, Bradley Barcola arrived with a more daring Kenzo denim ensemble, all accompanied by a small black beret from the same brand.
But the prize for the most improbable look is undoubtedly awarded to Liverpool central defender Ibrahima Konaté, who arrived under a full neon green hoodie à la Kanye West. He even managed to steal the spotlight from Jules Koundé, that’s saying something.
