ASSE – 2 Stéphanois sanctioned?

ASSE faces this Saturday afternoon. This match on the 7th day of Ligue 1 comes before the international break. Several Stéphanois are invited to join their respective selections. 2 players from the professional squad were snubbed by their country.

Several ASSE players on deck

After the match against Auxerre, several Olivier Dall’Oglio players will leave for the selection. This is the case of Ben Old who will join New Zealand. The winger will face Tahiti and Malaysia during this international break. Zuriko Davitashvili will also join his country. The Georgian international will face Ukraine and Albania on behalf of the Nations League.

Dylan Batubinsika will be on deck with Congo. The central defender will face Tanzania twice. Ayman Aiki and Mathis Amougou are selected with the French U20 and U19 team. On the training center side, Paul Eymard and Djylian Nguessan will represent the EDF U17. Nadir El Jamali will be on the Moroccan U18 side.

Abdelhamid and Stassin snubbed

Some internationals are disappointed when they find out their selection list. Yunis Abdelhamid must have been in this situation when Walid Reggragui’s list was announced. The Morocco coach did not retain the ASSE defender. The former man had, however, been called up a month ago. He even played the entire match against Lesotho. Relegated to the bench by ODO, Yunis Abdelhamid’s start to the season is below expectations.

The other player who will not join his selection at the start of the week is Lucas Stassin. The young Belgian striker was not selected by the coach of the red imps. Unlike Yunis Abdelhamid, he did not join his selection in September. The last summer recruit of the Greens had refused to go to the selection. The striker preferred to focus on getting started with his new club.
