This Tuesday evening, Bayern Munich martyred Dinamo Zagreb for Vincent Kompany’s first match on the Bavarian bench in the Champions League. A festival of goals at the Allianz Arena (Munich), for a historic score of 9 goals to 2. With this thrashing inflicted on the Croatians, Bayern becomes the first team in history to score nine goals in a C1 match.

Four-time goalscorer last night, Harry Kane became the first player to score three goals from a penalty spot in a single Champions League match. The England captain also became the 20th player to score four or more goals in a single Champions League match. Four Bayern players had achieved this feat before: Mario Gómez, Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski. Finally, Michael Olise is the first Frenchman to score a double on his C1 debut, after Thierry Henry (with AS Monaco against Bayer Leverkusen, 4-0, in 1997). A historic evening on all levels for the Munich players.
