The Minister of Finance and Budget, Cheikh Diba, provided answers to the questions asked by the speakers during the panel held after the presentation of the new Vision Senegal 2050 framework. On the question of financing the private sector, Minister Cheikh Diba underlines that the State is working on innovative mechanisms. The idea is that the State can take an optimal proportion and leave it to the private sector to have sufficient resources to finance their development. The diagnosis is very glaring, but this is where we expect the Senegalese genius, in particular the government led by its PM, Ousmane Sonko. We have a budget deficit and a heavy debt. These two notions go hand in hand, adds Minister Cheikh Diba.
