Continuation of the 7th day of Serie A. Fiorentina welcomed AC Milan to Tuscany, on the pitch of the Stadio Artemio Franchi. A rather eventful match between the two teams which was finally won by the Viola (2-1). Quickly dominating, Fiorentina obtained a penalty which Moise Kean nevertheless missed (20th). A few minutes later, Yacine Adli opened the scoring for the locals (35th). Determined to equalize, AC Milan also had a penalty but Théo Hernandez saw his attempt stopped by Davide De Gea (45th+1). In the second half, the Spanish goalkeeper stopped a second penalty this time attempted by Tammy Abraham (56th).

Despite Christian Pulisic’s equalizer (60th), Albert Guðmundsson gave his team victory on the wire (73rd). In added time, Théo Hernandez was sent off for too virulent a protest (90th + 6). In the standings, AC Milan remains in 6th place, confirming a delicate start to the season, while Fiorentina takes valuable points and moves up to 11th position. Next weekend, the Rossoneri will welcome Udinese to Lombardy, while the Viola will travel to Puglia to challenge Lecce, during the 8th day of the Italian championship.
