Apple has announced its newest batch of Pro iPhones – the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max – at “It’s Glowtime” event. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have bigger displays, a new ‘Pro’ chip, and they are still made of titanium.

iPhone 16 Pro is now more affordable in India

The iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900 for the 128GB, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will start at Rs 1,44,900 for the base 256GB storage option.The iPhone 15 Pro models were launched in India for Rs 1,34,900. Pre-orders start September 13, and will be available in stores from September 20 onwards.

iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with bigger screens

The iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3 inches screen – up from 6.1 inches, and the 6.7 inches screen on the iPhone 15 Pro Max is being upped to 6.9 inches on the newer iPhone 16 Pro Max. The iPhone 16 Pro models are carved out of aluminum, the same as their predecessors. Joining the Action Button is the Camera Control button, which as the name implies let you control the camera. The duo comes in four colours – natural, black, white, and a new “desert titanium.”

A18 Pro chip powers the Apple Intelligence experience of iPhone 16 Pro models

The A18 Pro chip of the iPhone 16 Pro has a 16-core Neural Enginewhich is 15 per cent faster performance. Apple says the new chip will offer an “amazing performance” for Apple Intelligence, which is due as a free update in the coming months. The 6-core GPU of A18 Pro is 20 per cent faster than the iPhone 15 Pro’s A17 Pro.
Apple says that the iPhone 16 Pro models have the “best iPhone battery life ever.” Though, still no numbers. What’s being told is the iPhone 16 Pro supports Qi2.

iPhone 16 Pro gets a new 48MP ultrawide camera and 5x telephoto camera now on both models

The iPhone 16 Pro duo features a 48MP “fusion camera,” having a second-gen quad pixel sensor that should offer zero shutter lag in ProRes. The second camera of the trio is a new 48MP ultrawide camera, an upgrade over the last few generations of the 12MP camera. Then, the 5x 12MP telephoto camera is now there on both the Pro models.
The Camera Control button on the Pro models would support two-stage shutter with a software update coming later this year.
There are new photo styles, and one can put these styles over photos even after you have clicked one.The iPhone 16 Pro models are capable of recording 4K at 120fps, which is super slow mo. On top of that frame by frame colour grading can be done.
Cameras aside, the iPhone 16 Pro also has four “studio-quality” mics. The new Pro iPhones also support spatial audio recording and later this year, a layerable track feature for music recording.
