UAn RN MP had been driving on the motorway with an invalid licence since 2009. This is what the police discovered on Friday 13 September during a road check in Pas-de-Calais. The vehicle of the National Rally MP, Christine Engrand, was taken away from her, according to information from Le Parisien.

The MP was stopped on the A16 motorway while driving and using her phone while driving. She was initially arrested and fined. During the check, the police discovered that her driving licence had not had any points for 15 years and that her car had a technical inspection fault. Her vehicle was confiscated immediately.

Contacted by Le Parisien, Christine Engrand defended herself, assuring that she was in possession of her license and points, and pleaded an administrative “error.” She also stated that her case would be “settled” on Monday.

The elected official already implicated in an embezzlement case

The police were even preparing, according to her, to give him a “provisional paper” to take back his car. But still according to the daily’s information, it was another person who left with his vehicle. In addition, he would be authorized to drive only to comply with the regulations at a technical inspection center.
