A humorous campaign. Not always easy to dare go to the toilet at his workplace. Australia has (maybe) found a solution. “It’s normal to poop at work,” is the slogan of this new public health campaign led by the Queensland Department of Health in Australia. On social media, one of the videos features images of dolphins, rainbows and unicorns, all set to Neick Sanders’ catchy tune, Symphony.

Simple but essential advice

To encourage employees not to hold back, the Ministry of Health offers some simple advice. It recommends visualizing a famous person in the toilet and remembering that EVERYONE POOSES. Another tip is to take a small scented spray with you to the toilet and avoid foods and drinks that promote bowel movements. It is also advisable to breathe calmly and practice a small meditation exercise in order to relax.

With an explanation: “Consistently ignoring your urge to go to the bathroom can lead to a stool blockage in your colon, hemorrhoids and other serious problems. So it is better to let the stool out rather than hold it in.” And to complete: “If you find it extremely difficult to poop around other people, you may have parcopresis.”
