Author of a crazy year, Antoine Dupont is the most decisive player in Europe in 2024. With 16 tries and 31 “D passes”, the scrum half shines more than twice per match.
Again and again, Antoine Dupont is at the top of the list. Author of a crazy year whether with his club or with France 7, the Olympic champion has continued to make an impression. Far ahead of the competition, the Toulouse scrum half is quite simply the most decisive player in Europe. According to the analysis site Opta, the Frenchman is the player who has scored the most tries and delivered the most assists over the year 2024. A ranking which only takes into account club matches for the players who have played more than 240 minutes.
2.4 – Of the 1482 players to feature for 240+ minutes across the major European club competitions in 2024, @StadeToulousain’s Antoine Dupont was the only one to average 2+ combined tries and assists per 80 minutes (2.4). Extraordinary. pic.twitter.com/n9LyA6oU4R

It's simple, Dupont shines almost 2.5 times per match on average, either with a try or an offering. Long known for his numerous tries scored after support races, earning him the nickname “Minister of the Interior”, he has today transformed into a real smuggler. Author of 16 essays, he above all delivered 31 offerings in 2024, including recently a quadruple of “D passes” against Ulster. All in 1577 minutes, or one decisive action every 33 minutes, no less.
Alone in his world
Thanks to his 2.4 tries or assists per match, he flies above the competition. Behind, with 1.8 decisive actions per match, Alex Mitchell (Northampton) and Mattheuw Devine (Connacht) complete the podium. Another impressive statistic, the Toulouse player is the second player to make the most passes after contact with 51 “offloads”, just ahead of the usual Leone Nakarawa (54).
But displaying such figures in defeat would hardly be encouraging. Antoine Dupont won 22 of the 23 matches he played at 15. His only setback? A defeat against UBB in the Top 14 (31-28), a match in which he started as a substitute and where he shone at the opening. Even when he loses “Toto” can't help but stand out.
