INFO FIGARO – The manager-coach of the reigning French and European champions is about to sign up for four additional seasons, until 2031.
Given the exceptional results of the Rouge et Noir, who reign supreme in the Top 14 and the Champions Cup, this is no surprise. According to our information, discussions between the president of Stade Toulousain, Didier Lacroix, and his manager-coach, Ugo Mola, were fruitful.
An agreement in principle has been reached and the latter, currently under contract until 2027, is about to sign an extension of its lease until 2031.

In post since 2015, the 51-year-old technician led Stade Toulousain to the Top 14-Champions Cup double in 2021 and 2024, and to two additional French championship titles in 2019 and 2023.
A clause for the XV of France?
Still according to our information, a clause in the contract should however provide that Ugo Mola could be released at the end of 2027, after the World Cup in Australia, if the French Rugby Federation offered him the position of coach of the French XV at the end of Fabien Galthié's second term.
