The Tabital Pulaaku International association is asking the Malian authorities to ” release without delay » Idrissa Sankaré. The former deputy of Bankass, in central Mali, also third vice-president of Tabital Pulaaku Mali, has not given any sign of life for just three weeks. Idrissa Sankaré was kidnapped on August 14 in Bamako.
According to information cross-checked by RFI from numerous Malian community, political and security sources, Idrissa Sankaré is currently in a secret State Security prison. And this while the association for the defense of the culture and rights of the Fulani community, of which he is one of the leaders, must renew its national office by the end of the month. RFI contacted Fary Silate Ka, president of Tabital Pulaaku Senegal and vice-president of Tabital Pulaaku International.
« This situation worries us at the highest level, alarmed Fary Silate Ka. We strongly condemn this kidnapping. We have Malian sources who have informed us that this is part of a global process of recovery strategy, by the Malian authorities, of the Tabital Pulaaku Mali organization to muzzle it and prevent it from speaking. Tabital Pulaaku is an apolitical organization, but at Malisince 2021, we have seen that the government is doing everything either to control or to dissolve the organization. »
« We are very worried about the life of Idrissa Sankaré »
