Scientists have observed that drying laundry indoors poses environmental, economic and health problems by examining the washing habits of residents of a social housing development in the west of Scotland.

And for good reason, drying your laundry in a poorly ventilated room can actually promote the proliferation of microbes, mites and mold spores, which are all triggers of diseases such as asthma.
