« C’is much harder…” Called upon from all sides since his performance at the Paralympic Games, Mathieu Bosredon is engaged in another crazy race. It’s not easy to hold up. “I’m an athlete, not a media man,” says the star paracyclist of the “JOP”, with his characteristic simplicity. The 33-year-old champion, paralyzed in the lower limbs since the age of four, is returning to his hometown of Brive-la-Gaillarde with three gold medals in his bag, making him the most decorated Frenchman at these Paralympics.

An exceptional performance for someone who could not be selected in Tokyo four years ago. Mathieu Bosredon agreed to answer our questions, directly and with remarkable humility, first highlighting the others, notably his teammate Florian Jouanny.

Mathieu Bosredon : We have achieved the objectives set. It was about being in the top eight nations in terms of number of medals, France is ranked eighth, so we are exactly what we wanted.
