The community of communes of the East of the Somme is facing financial difficulties

The community's operating budget shows a deficit of 1.3 million euros. Its president, José Rioja, explains that the situation has deteriorated since the merger between the communities of communes of Pays Hamois and Pays Neslois, in 2017. The constantly declining state allocation is aggravating the financial problems. Projects are suspended and savings must be found to avoid an increase in taxes.
