Searches in a Hells Angels den took place Friday evening in Hérouxville by investigators from the regional mixed squad (ERM) of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The operation allowed police officers to seize evidence linked to “a group of individuals suspected of engaging in criminal activities and armed violence, in the context of conflicts for control of territories linked to trafficking of narcotics,” we can read in the press release.
A 67-year-old man in possession of a rifle was arrested and held in custody to appear at the Shawinigan courthouse.
The police also report that “other individuals could face charges. Their files will be submitted to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP) in relation to a 45-year-old man for possession of prohibited weapons, as well as a 68-year-old man for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
“A total of 16 individuals aged 27 to 71 were at the outlaw motorcycle gang premises,” it was written.
-These would be “members in good standing” of the Hells Angels of Trois-Rivières, others with possible status and members of clubs sympathizing with the Hells Angels.
The searches took place on a property made up of two buildings. Three vehicles were also searched.
