I am the fruit of a popular culture which took off in the 90s and which has established itself over the decades as the dominant culture. Video games, cinema, manga, anime, comics, comics, literature, series… I am eager to learn and explore the imaginations available to me, regardless of the media.
Elon Musk continues to make headlines and regularly hits the headlines with his statements and other outings. The billionaire sometimes compared to Tony Stark – which tends to displease actor Robert Downey Jr. who played the superhero for Marvel – will take the helm of a video game studio with artificial intelligence as a collaborator… And no , it's not science fiction.
A dragon to set fire to the powder
The release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard was somewhat shaken by the growing controversy around the presence of elements perceived as “progressive” within the RPG developed by BioWare (the Mass Effect saga). The presence of a “trans” character offended part of the “Video Game” community who did not fail to make their dissatisfaction known on social networks, including X (formerly Twitter). Several personalities from the 10th Art took the floor in turn to express their point of view on this social subject as well as others arising from high technologies among others.
A video game studio led by Elon Musk and AI
Elon Musk was quick to add fuel to the fire via his X account. According to the eccentric billionaire, the video game industry is too “woke” and dominated by historic publishers driven by a political agenda and put forward their vision of the world. In response to this, the owner of X announces opening a video game studio boosted by artificial intelligence via his startup xAI and thus use his sprawling firm to – I quote – “Make games great again” (“make video games great again” in French).
This statement from Elon Musk on X follows that of Billy Markus – the creator of Dogecoin – who essentially declared that studios and journalists are “ideologically closed” and that players “have always rejected stupid manipulation and can tell when someone is a poseur.”. The man behind Tesla and the SpaceX program then responded: “There are too many video game studios that are owned by large companies. xAI will create an AI games studio to make video games great again!” It remains to be seen how xAI can manage to develop a video game experience using the power of artificial intelligence alone.
