The Minister of Health wants to reduce waiting times in hospitals – Telquel.ma

To face this challenge, Tahraoui announced a series of measures aimed at optimizing human resources management in the sector. These measures include reducing the duration of medical training and implementing specialized and targeted training according to regional needs. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of integrating local skills to increase the efficiency of the health service.

The minister also highlighted the importance of technological innovation with the launch of the “Mawiidi” portal, which made it possible to improve the management of hospital appointments. This portal has seen a significant increase in usage, with over a million appointments booked online in 2022, marking a marked improvement on previous years.

Tahraoui added that these problems are not unique to Morocco, but also affect other countries with advanced health systems. He insisted on the need for constant efforts and comprehensive reforms to accelerate access to care.

The structural reforms announced include improving access to health services, equitable distribution of resources across the territory, and strengthening overall health coverage, within the framework of framework law no. 06.22 on the health system. national health.
