The meeting between Senegal and Burkina Faso will be placed under the supervision of Egyptian referee Mahmoud El Banna, appointed by CAF to direct this Group L duel.
This Thursday, November 14, 2024, the two teams face each other in a decisive match for the CAN 2025 qualifiers. The meeting will exceptionally take place at the March 26 stadium in Bamako due to the absence of an approved stadium in Burkina Faso. The refereeing quartet will be made up of Mahmoud El Banna, central, assisted by Mahmoud Kamel Abouelregal and Ahmed Tawfik Teleb Ali, while Ahmed El Ghandour will act as fourth referee.
On the pitch, the Teranga Lions will wear their brand new green away jersey, recently unveiled, while the Stallions will wear their traditional white outfit. Although both teams have already validated their qualification for CAN 2025, this match will determine first place in Group L.
Currently in the lead thanks to a better goal difference, Burkina Faso will have to defend its position against Senegal determined to take first place. This shock therefore promises to be a real test for the two teams, as the continental competition planned in Morocco approaches.
