In a separate statement, Trump called Ratcliffe a “warrior for truth and honesty” and praised him for exposing what Trump called accusations of “false Russian collusion” against his 2016 campaign.
Accelerating the establishment of his cabinet in anticipation of his inauguration on January 20, Donald Trump has also chosen the governor of southern Daota, Kristi Noem to head the Department of Homeland Security, a key position in charge of immigration system in the United States.
In a statement on social media, Trump, who has made the fight against illegal immigration one of the main themes of his campaign, called Noem “very strong on border security.”
