Generation after generation, albums Ernest and Celestine accompany the children. We find the same tenderness in this story of a little Santa Claus who, hanging from a parachute, lands in a field of snow under the stunned eye of a little girl, especially since the man, distraught, arrives empty-handed … Touched, the heroine asks her to wait and runs home to get her doll, which she gives to her. The character who fell from the sky leaves comforted after having made an appointment for the following year, same day, same time. This meeting, on December 24, is a great promise for a generous little girl and a tiny Santa Claus who is now less alone. Each reissue of a Gabrielle Vincent album is a joy. This one dates from 1994.

Jim the dog looks a bit like an old mop, but he is so endearing that he was adopted by Sir Cole, the director of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, where he lives.
