Terrible news for Doro Gaye and his wife

Doro Gaye is far from seeing the end of the tunnel. This businessman, who has not yet finished with his dispute with Zakiroulah Sow, risks seeing his buildings, which he co-owns with his wife, put up for sale, according to Les Echos which provides the information this Thursday, November 7, 2024.

These two properties, located in the Keur Gorgui city, were seized as part of a procedure initiated by the Union of Mutuals-Alliance of Credit and Savings for Production (UM-ACEP), to which it should approximately around a hundred million CFA francs. The judge of the Real Estate Foreclosure Chamber referred the case to an adjudication hearing set for December 10. The businessman, who is going through a difficult period after the fall of Macky Sall’s regime and due to his legal proceedings against Zakiroulah Sow, is about to lose two buildings that he co-owns with his wife.

The Union of Mutuals-Alliance of Credit and Savings for Production (UM-ACEP) seized these buildings after Doro Gaye raised funds using them as collateral, without subsequently repaying the loan. According to the banking institution, Doro Gaye borrowed around a hundred million CFA francs, but never repaid the loan. As a result, UM-ACEP seized the two buildings and informed the foreclosure judge. This is the store forming lot 08 of TF n°23.242/GR, with an area of 73 m², located on the ground floor of a condominium building in the Keur Gorgui city, and the apartment forming lot 09 of TF n°23.243/GR, with an area of 122 m² also located on the ground floor. The price of the store is set at 12 million CFA francs, while that of the apartment amounts to 21,350,000 CFA francs.

The judge of the Commercial Court, who examined the file the day before yesterday, referred the case and the parties to the adjudication hearing scheduled for December 10. These goods therefore risk being sold to enable UM-ACEP to recover its debts. This second civil procedure constitutes another hard blow for Doro Gaye, who is trying to get back on his feet while he is still involved in criminal proceedings brought by Zakiroulah Sow, who managed to have him indicted and placed under arrest warrant for a case of land fraud involving more than a billion CFA francs on June 3. On June 28, the judge granted him judicial review after he signed a memorandum of understanding in which he agreed to reimburse the civil party. But while he is not yet out of the woods in this procedure, a new misfortune befalls him.
