“William, I have known him for forty years. He was everything to me: a mentor, a Pygmalion, a friend, an accomplice” recalls Sophie Davant before explaining that “our relationship has transformed”. The presenter of “William à midi” has in fact started to get closer to the host following the death of his wife in 2020, as he confided to “Paris Match” in July 2024.

“I had enjoyed a particularly successful marriage with my wife of over forty years, and then our life was interrupted for no reason and, for me, it was ruined. I had isolated myself, but when Sophie called me, it was different,” explained William Leymergie.
