During his appearance on the En Vérité program on Senegal International radio this Sunday, January 26, the Minister of Employment and Relations with Institutions, Abass Fall, gave details concerning the salaries and allowances of ministers. According to the minister, each minister receives a monthly salary of 2.9 million CFA francs, to which is added a housing allowance of one million CFA francs.
This revelation shed light on a question that probably concerned many Senegalese: that of the income of senior state officials. By providing this clarification, Abass Fall allowed citizens to have a clearer vision of the remuneration of ministers.
The total amount of these allowances, i.e. 3.9 million CFA francs per month, therefore includes the basic salary and the housing allowance. A supplement which, certainly, reduces the burdens linked to the ministerial function.
