It has been 14 years since the relatives of Heidi De Schepper, a resident of Balen (Antwerp), have heard from her. But no one reported the disappearance of this young mother to the police. Not even his partner and father of their three children, reports Het Laatste Nieuws. It was only last year that police learned of the intriguing disappearance, when one of her sons’ school tried to contact her but was never successful.

An investigation was then launched to try to find the young mother. “Over the past year, many searches have been carried out to find out if there was a trace of Heidi somewhere, possibly abroad, but so far they have yielded nothing“, Kristof Aerts, from the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office, explained to our colleagues. The last trace of the Belgian dates back to May 6, 2010, when a driving license in her name was withdrawn from the Balen municipal house. It is possible whether it was by someone other than Heidi de Schepper, but it is quite likely that it was by herself. This is all that the investigators have as information regarding her disappearance.
