The new line will be the fastest and fastest corridor between Europe and Africa with two electric ships designed specifically for the Tarifa-Tanger connection, he added, noting that this project, unique in its kind in the world , is a reference in terms of modernization and innovation.
The construction of new electric ferries for TARIFA-TANGER link is part of the Balearia strategy aimed at reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, he said.
Intervening on this occasion, the ambassador of Morocco to Spain, Karima Benyaich, said that this is an “innovative, sustainable and avant-garde” project which will help further strengthen connections between Morocco and the Spain, while consolidating the common project of the two countries for the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
Ms. Benyaich stressed that this initiative constitutes an opportunity for Morocco and Spain to consolidate their partnership in the field of maritime trade and to contribute to environmentally friendly management.
