Hubert explains the rapid and surprising return of Francis Amuzu after the big scare against Bruges – All football

Little surprise when discovering the RSC Anderlecht selection for this Europa League match: Francis Amuzu is indeed present. Not even two weeks after his concussion against Bruges, he is back.

The images were scary enough: against FC Bruges, Francis Have fun had remained on the ground just before the break for very long minutes – almost the entire half – and had to be evacuated on a stretcher after a collision with Ordoñez.

The verdict came after the match: major concussion for the Anderlecht winger, and a few weeks of rest. A week and a half later, however, he is already back in the core of the Mauves for the trip to Viktoria Plzen.

“There is a very clear protocol in this type of case, depending on the symptoms,” explained David Hubert this Wednesday at a press conference on this subject. “Francis received the necessary rest after the shock. We followed his condition closely and as soon as he had the opportunity to return to the club, he did so.”

Amuzu then gradually resumed training. “He started with cycling and non-contact training, and this week he was back with the group. From then on, he is available and selectable, and is one more option,” rejoices Hubert.

However, we do not expect much playing time for Francis Amuzu but rather an entry into the game at the end of the match, if he even comes into the game. No risks will be taken with him.
