The draw will take place at the Mohammed V National Theater in Rabat

The final draw for the CAN 2025 African Cup of Nations, hosted by Morocco, will take place at the Mohammed V National Theater in Rabat on Monday January 27, CAF announced in a press release.

“Inaugurated in 1961 by King Hassan II in homage to his father, the theater is an architectural jewel located in the heart of the Moroccan capital. It embodies the elegance and rich cultural heritage of Morocco, a country which will host a memorable CAN from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.wrote CAF, rejoicing at the holding of this ceremony in the Shereef capital.

The African body thus promises “ a unique evening full of emotions, where sport and culture will intertwine to offer a grandiose spectacle. This celebration will reflect the uniqueness of Moroccan culture and the excellence of the organization of this 35th edition of the African Cup of Nations.

The draw will take place in the presence of representatives of the 24 teams qualified for the competition. The 24 teams will be divided into 6 groups, each group comprising 4 teams. The top two teams in each group, as well as the top 4 teams ranked third, will qualify for the round of 16 of the competition.
